Performing Arts

  • II Piccolo Players, 1219 Broadway

This tight group of amateur actors that has been performing since 2005 specializes in re-enacting old-time radio shows. Piccolo Players base their performances on original scripts from the family-friendly classic radio shows. One example is “The Shadow.” These performances are free at II Piccolo Cafe.

  • Broadway by the Bay, 851 Burlway Road, Ste. 300

Broadway by the Bay has earned a reputation as the best musical theater in Silicon Valley. The theater group, which showcases local talent, has a 47-year history of “‘engaging and inspiring the community through musicals.” Patrons can catch these quality performances at affordable prices.

  • Peninsula Girls Chorus, 1443 Howard Avenue

This musical group for was founded in 1994 with 11 girls. It now has a membership of 240 members. The group performs both locally and abroad, including prestigious festivals. This is an excellent opportunity for girls to develop their abilities.

  • Music at Kohl Mansion, 2750 Adeline Drive

This musical company presents “world class chamber concerts” in the historic Kohl Mansion, providing an interactive musical experience. You will find the 95-year-old local landmark Kohl Mansion on the Mercy High School campus. Its Great Hall boasts an Elizabethan design.

Fine Arts

1212 Gallery, 1212 Donnelly Ave.

This gallery focuses on modern art from the mid-20th century to present. It actively promotes local artists and displays various art forms that include paintings, glass sculptures, works on paper and photography. The gallery is open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Visitors on Thursdays and Fridays can enjoy the displays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

This group is fully committed to the county environment’s long-term environmental health. It focuses on inviting community involvement by providing the most current information on the local environment, economy and social equity status.
