Selling a home: How to get the highest possible price when selling your home

For most sellers, getting the highest possible price & best terms is their goal when selling a home.

In the past few years, a number of properties never go to the market, are entered into the Multiple Listing Service (MLS which is the agent access website to enter a listing which other websites such as Realtor.com & Zillow pull data from).  Instead, they are sold within the agent community or by the listing agent who has their own buyer for that property.

(An upcoming tip is why you don’t want your agent to double-end the sale of your home).

There are very few reasons why a seller should sell their home off-market.  There have also been several lawsuits between sellers & their list agents because sellers felt that they left money on the table after selling off-market.

The only way that a seller knows they are getting top dollar for their home is if every buyer in their price range knows about their home.  For this to happen, your property needs to go into the MLS for full market exposure.

We will talk further about marketing strategy & how to best position your home to generate multiple offers & the highest possible price when we meet.
