Here’s the scoop as provided by Real Estate Rama:

San Francisco, CA – October 4, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — Interactive Media Awards has announced that Zephyr Real Estate is a recipient of the 2010 Outstanding Achievement award for its new website. In worldwide competition with more than 60 other related industry websites, Zephyr scored 471 of a possible 500. Website scores are based on five criteria: design, content, feature functionality, usability, and standards compliance and cross-browser compatibility.
Zephyr’s new website, www.zephyrsf.com, launched earlier this year, and has been received enthusiastically by both customers and agents. The website offers a wealth of information above and beyond typical listings, including in-depth neighborhood profiles complete with descriptions, demographics, market trends, and narrated videos.

“We are delighted to see our work recognized with this Outstanding Achievement Award from IMA,” said Randall Kostick, chief operating officer, Zephyr Real Estate. “It was indeed an outstanding achievement by our team, and our expectations were not only met but monumentally surpassed.”

The Interactive Media Awards™ recognize the highest standards of excellence in website design and development and honor individuals and organizations for their outstanding achievement. Created by the Interactive Media Council, Inc., a non-profit organization of leading web designers, developers, programmers, advertisers and other web-related professionals, the competition is designed to elevate the standards of excellence on the Internet.
In a letter announcing the award, IMA articulated their stringent judging guidelines, “To win an award your entry had to successfully pass through our comprehensive judging system. Our judges utilize a points-based scoring system, which allows each entry to receive a maximum of 500 points.

By adhering to the specific guidelines and criteria of this system our judges are able to maintain the highest degree of fairness, accuracy and integrity; competently and effectively evaluate entries; and deliver clear results.”
“Receiving this award reaffirms the value of all the time and effort we invested in our new website,” said Matthew Borland, Sales Manager/Partner at Zephyr Real Estate, who was intimately involved in the website redesign project. “However, this doesn’t give us license to rest on our laurels. Our process is ongoing as we continue to build on our success and add new features and improvements to our site. We’re committed to providing the best real estate experience, both online and in the real world,” he added.
