Farmers Market in Burlingame CA offers fresh produce
Burlingame CA and other Bay Area residents who enjoy produce fresh from the farm or garden can browse the Fresh Market at the corner of Park Road and Burlingame Ave. It is one of the few community-owned and operated farmers’ markets in the Bay Area. In fact, the Burlingame Chamber of Commerce operates it.
The Burlingame Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1913, and has served as a voice for the local business community.
This is a certified market with California growers offering seasonal produce and flowers as well as a selection of organically grown products. Additionally, some booths feature prepared local foods such as home cooked tamales, fresh-baked pies, rotisserie chicken and smoked salmon.
Food is not the only attraction at the Burlingame Farmers’ Market though. It has a reputation for featuring musical entertainment, local artisans showcasing their work and a balloon man to keep children happy.
