Guy Fieri visits Grand Harbor, a Burlingame CA restaurant, showcasing Cantonese cuisine and a 'Flavortown' experience.

Guy Fieri, a native Northern Californian and Food Channel host who visits restaurants across the United States, recently visited Grand Harbor, a Burlingame CA restaurant. Fieri hosts the show, “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives,” which chronicles his travels to America’s popular eateries. As he visits them, he interviews the owners and samples menu items.

Grand Harbor, the Burlingame restaurant Fieri visited, features Cantonese cuisine, and guests can enjoy DimSum and egg rolls while taking in a spectacular view of the San Francisco Bay.

Fieri’s show, “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives” has been airing since 2006 with 385 shows. Fieri dubs the world he travels in “Flavortown USA.”

In a recent interview with TheWrap, Fieri recalled how he coined one of his sayings that became a household word for his foodie followers. He said the Flavortown “term” started to catch on after he visited a diner more than 10 years ago. He was watching a man make pizza and commented, “That looks like a manhole cover in Flavortown.” Then he remembers that he floated that moniker on his show several times before it caught on.

Fieri said, “All of a sudden, fans start seeing this and start writing in, or start walking up to me saying, ‘Which way is Flavortown? I’m a resident of Flavortown!'”

He added that he considers himself to be the “mayor of Flavortown” and his fans are “residents of Flavortown.”
